Warehouse Supervisor (Night Shift) Location Grand Rapids, MI : West Side Beer Distributing is searching to fill our open
Warehouse Supervisor position. The hours for this position would be Monday through Thursday evenings from 5pm until around 3am. West Side Beer Distributing offers a competitive benefit package! POSITION SUMMARY Supervise, motivate and evaluate employees assigned to the respective shift. Accurately verifies, accumulates, and organizes all paperwork pertaining to product leaving the warehouse. Monitors employee productivity, attendance, and overall performance. Responsibilities are training, supervising and enforcing policies and procedures. This person will work in congruency with other Warehouse Supervisors' and Inventory personnel to successfully manage West Side Beer Distributing's warehouse operations. Responsible for adhering to company policies, OSHA standards, DOT regulations and supplier agreements. - Conduct daily pre shift meetings to ensure proper communication/direction
- Audit trucks each night for load errors
- Survey each truck for proper loading and stacking of packages/barrels
- Close each truck and ware, as well as, print all necessary paperwork for each route
- Track and monitor Key Operating Indicators for department, including loading errors and pick rates.
- Train warehouse personnel.
- Implement warehouse safety and security programs and activities.
- Review and approve payroll.
- Prepare or direct preparation of correspondence, reports, operations and maintenance.
- Confer with department heads to coordinate warehouse activities.
- Inspect physical conditions of warehouses, vehicles and equipment; maintenance, repair, or replacement as necessary. Collect all inspection forms for equipment used each night
- Safely operate all equipment.
- Coach employees to ensure productivity and stacking/loading standards
- Maintaining positive relationships with employees
SKILLS & ABILITIES Education: Associate's Degree (two year college or technical school) Experience: One to two years related experience Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office application Certificates & Licenses : Forklift experience, Pallet Jack experience Other Requirements: Must pass physical, drug screen, background check and motor vehicle report.
