ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Wheeling, West Virginia.

\nRN - Med Surg
\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work 12-hour shifts: Day shift 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM, Night shift 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
\n• Every-other-weekend requirement (3 weekends out of 6-week schedule)
\n• Patient ratios of 1:6-7 (mostly 1:7 for both day and night shifts)
\n• Work into holiday rotation schedule
\n• Schedules made for 6 weeks at a time with up to 6 requests off allowed per schedule
\n• Float to other Med Surg, Med Surg/Oncology units, possibly IMC for Med Surg overflow
\n• Charge nurse takes full patient assignment with Clinical Assistant support
\n• Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and NIHSS
\n• ACLS certification is a plus
\n• BSN degree not required
\n• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs (top and bottom) with navy scrub jackets, no hoodies
\n• Use Allscripts Sunrise EMR system
\n• Care for 52-bed unit with all private rooms
\n• Handle post-operative ortho and neuro patients, general medical conditions
\n• Experience with peritoneal dialysis highly preferred
\n• Remote telemetry monitoring as needed
\n• IV team starts all IVs, RNs assess IV sites
\n• Manage drips including Heparin, PCAs with MSO4, occasional Ativan
\n• Work with BiPAP, CPAP, and high flow oxygen equipment
\n• General hospital orientation plus 2 full shifts on unit
\n• Must provide copy of unexpired driver's license and disclose any licensing issues
\n• Must reside within 50-mile radius

The facility maintains 24/7 in-house support including hospitalists, intensivists, IV team, PICC team, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy services.
