Accentuate Staffing is currently seeking a Staff Accountant for our client located in Greensboro, NC 27407. This position requires an individual that has a desire to serve both internal and external customers with the ability to manage multiple priorities with deadlines while maintaining confidentiality and attention to detail. As the company continues to grow, the Staff Accountant is required to have a strong focus on the continued improvement of processes and controls. This position offers a flexible HYBRID work schedule with 2 days remote and 3 days onsite along with excellent benefits! Job Responsibilities Responsible for preparing data for journal entries and reviewing general ledger activity and related financial statements. Analyze monthly general ledger activity, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations to various accounts to ensure they are recorded appropriately Record bank transactions to general ledger and ensure all entries are recorded appropriately Account for corporate owned office buildings that are utilized by multiple related companies. Analyze monthly general ledger activity, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations to various accounts to ensure they are recorded appropriately Prepare various account reconciliations and assist with the balance sheet analyses and other financial reports during month end close process Review and track salesperson expense allotments Prepare monthly reports for branch managers Maintain various spreadsheets to support financial transactions and analyses of various expenses Direct finance responsibility and oversight of subsidiary ledger Cross train with senior accountant role and accounts payable to provide back up as needed Offers suggestion about resource utilization, streamline processes, etc. Assist in quarterly reporting requirements Assist with preliminary and year-end audits Involved in other accounting and financial projects as assigned Support the accounting team in various ad hoc projects as needed. Contribute to Team Effort by leading by example; initiating an open and positive attitude; coordinating all the above tasks for the company in a professional manner Job Requirements: Minimum of 3 years of general accounting experience Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in accounting preferred Strong attention to detail and organization. Excellent proficiency of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PDF programs. Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly with limited supervision. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff Ability to convey information effectively and clearly both in both verbal and written form. Ability to meet deadlines Ability to effectively build relationships with customers and coworkers. Set the standards for delivering high customer service and lead by example. Accentuate Staffing
