Overview

The Risk Management Consultant will provide claims consulting service to captive clients and prospective clients.
This role involves coordinating, monitoring, and enhancing the services offered to our clients and prospects by
Third Party Administrators and Loss Control Service Providers


How you'll make an impact

  • Claims Advisory & Dispute Resolution : Act as a claims advisor for captive members, resolve claim-handling disputes, and maintain strong customer service relationships.
  • Service Provider Oversight : Review, coordinate, and monitor Risk Management and Claims Management service providers to ensure competency and alignment with captive needs.
  • Audits & Compliance : Participate in carrier audits with TPAs to ensure adherence to proper claim-handling practices.
  • Claims Analysis & Intervention : Analyze claims and loss control reports to identify necessary interventions and monitor high-exposure claims with efficient oversight procedures.
  • Workshops & Committees : Organize Risk Management Workshops, develop Risk Management Committee agendas, and collaborate with stakeholders to prepare board materials.
  • Meeting Facilitation : Attend board meetings, facilitate Risk Management Committee meetings, and prepare detailed meeting minutes.
  • Budget Management : Formulate and manage the Risk Management budget within board-approved parameters.
  • Claims Procedures & Reviews : Provide claim-handling guidelines, participate in claim review meetings, and assist members in obtaining customized claim reports.
  • Trend Analysis & Safety Recommendations : Review loss reports to identify trends, recommend safety measures, and address problem areas to reduce costs.
  • Product Development : Develop and refine products and services, including cost-control strategies.
  • Reporting & Communication : Generate financial reports, analyze client loss patterns, and communicate issues and resolutions to the Captive Director.
  • Special Projects : Contribute to special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience;
  • 3 years' experience in a claims role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Skills for success:

  • Understanding of the lines of coverage within area of responsibility.
  • Strong organization skills and ability to maintain diverse and large workload while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge and working ability to use all claims and business related software.

We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
