Job Title: Procurement Sourcing and Contracting Specialist

Location: Cambridge, MA 02142 - Hybrid

Duration: 07+ Months

Expectation is 8 days in the office a month

Job Description

Accountabilities

• Resource will be handling and supporting contracting and sourcing for R&D DDT (Data, Digital and technology) across software and services (external Labor) and as time allows be supporting the DDT Tech Evolution program.
• Independently Manages All Sourcing Activities and Methodology Including Definition of User Requirements, Analyzing Spend and Vendor Usage Patterns, Conducting Supply Market Analyses.
• Oversees DDT’s R&D Run Portfolio for areas.
• Responsible For Supplier and Contract Management Engagements.
• Partners With our R&D DDT team to Define and Adjust Technical Capabilities.
• Direct Collaboration and Support with Client’s DDT and Finance teams.
• Proactively Initiates, Fosters, And Manages New and Existing Positive Relationships with Many Levels, Including Senior Level, Internal Customers, And Peers.
• As Needed, This Position Will Also Support Enterprise & Regional Software Category Management & Procurement Needs.

Education, Behavioural Competencies and Skills:

• Ba Or Bs Required.
• Procurement Qualification (E.G. Ism, Ipmm or Mcips) Valued.
• Approx 4-6 Years Working in Biotech/Pharma Industry, Or Other Highly Regulated Industries.
• Possess In-Depth Knowledge of Supply Base and Sourcing and Procurement Business Practices.
• Experience Working in a Global Environment.

Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise)

• A Good Understanding of Pricing Models, Metrics, Licensing Models, Etc. With The Ability to Suggest Contracting Alternatives.
• Extensive Experience In the Review, Negotiation and Drafting of Global Contracts.
• Strong Business and Financial Acumen
