POLICE OFFICER
CANONSBURG BOROUGH
Full time
Qualified persons are invited to apply to the Borough of Canonsburg Civil Service Commission to take competitive examinations leading to eligibility for appointment as a Full-Time Police Officer. The written and Physical Exam
are scheduled for September 25, 2025, at 10:00 AM.

General Requirements:
Candidates at the time of application must: (1) Possess a diploma from an accredited high school or a graduate equivalency diploma (GED) (2) Be Act 120 Certified under the Municipal Police Officers Education and Training Act (Act 120) having passed the final exam, thus eligible for Act 120 Certification once hired by the borough, (3) Be a United States Citizen, (4) Be physically and mentally fit to perform the full-time duties of a police officer, (5) Be at least 21 years of age, (6) Possess a valid motor vehicle license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Applicants must also meet all the requirements of the Borough's Civil Service Rules and Regulations.

September 22, 2025, for this testing cycle. An application and details may be obtained by either appearing in person at the Canonsburg Police Department between 9:00 AM
and 3:00 PM (Closed for lunch 12-1) located at 68 East Pike Street, Canonsburg PA 15317, or obtaining and
applying on-line by visiting canonsburgboro.com -Police Department-Police Department Application. All
applications for this testing cycle must be returned no later than Monday September 22, 2025, by 4:00 PM.
NO fee is required.
