Executive Assistant to the University Librarian

Join the University of California, Riverside as the Executive Assistant to the University Librarian.

Position Information

The Executive Assistant provides administrative oversight for the University Librarian (UL), coordinating communications among the ULs subordinate management staff and overseeing daily administrative operations of Library Administration. The salary range is $74,384.25 $108,710.47 annually, with an expected pay scale up to $100,000 per year. The position is primarily on?site MondayFriday, with occasional remote work.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate communications among the ULs subordinate management staff.
• Oversee daily administrative operations of Library Administration.
• Provide administrative oversight for an executive in an academic environment.
• Manage scheduling, travel, and correspondence for the UL.
• Ensure adherence to university policies, collective bargaining agreements, and federal, state, or local directives.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
• Experience providing administrative oversight for an executive in an academic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Political acumen and sensitivities to the differing perspectives and political circumstances within all levels of the organization.
• Strong service orientation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong analytical, problem?solving, advising, and counseling skills.
• Ability to multi?task with demanding timeframes and maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to accurately apply a wide variety of policies and procedures and perform detailed work.
• Experience with federal regulations such as FERPA and knowledge of common organizational and computer application programs.
