Title: Event Planner Contractor: 6-month contract position with possible extension Pay Rate: $31.68/hr. Job Summary Your role will involve managing the Client Center reservation books, overseeing daily meetings and events, implementing and developing protocols, liaising with catering partners and staff, and managing financials. Job responsibilities Manage the Client Center reservation books, including reporting and metrics Oversee Client Centers' daily meetings and events Implement, develop, and follow Client Center protocols and procedures (meet and greet, security protocols, catering set-up, client management) Liaise with catering partners and any applicable back-of-house staff Survey client experience and propose solutions based on feedback as needed Understand food prep and health and safety rules, regulations, and best practices Liaise with staff on various administrative tasks such as, but not limited to, invoice processing, scheduling maintenance calls with vendors, and ordering kitchen, event and office supplies, among others Flexibility to occasionally work early mornings or late evenings as needed Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Bachelor's degree preferred 2-3 years of hospitality and/or administrative experience; event planning, catering, membership club, or hotel experience preferred Excellent time management and written/verbal communication skills Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Ability to work flexible hours and meet deadlines BCforward offers all eligible employees a comprehensive benefits package including, but not limited to, major medical, HSA, dental, vision, employer-provided group life, voluntary life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, and 401k.
