Job Description
Manage strategies, assets and content for digital marketing communications that drives Garden brand and engages audiences. Works closely with Senior Director of Marketing Communications and full marketing team to ensure cohesive messaging across all external-facing materials.
Essential Duties - Lead and manage the development of content for dbg.org, Garden's Spanish website and Garden App while following the Garden's brand guidelines
- Coordinate the managing and testing of new functionality on the Garden's website and serve as primary liaison between the Garden and web company; review content on partnership websites for Spaces of Opportunity and CAZCA.
- Create visually appealing graphics and design elements for a variety of uses: websites, email templates, mobile apps, blog posts, website copy, social media and various digital platforms.
- Works withing user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design principles to attract customers to Garden products and services.
- Evaluate new technologies and suggest ways to incorporate them into existing strategies
- Manage search engine optimization
- Coordinate the Garden's email marketing projects across all teams
- Manage web content updates through Wordpress; track analytics and search engine rankings
- Represent the Marketing Communications Department on Garden committees.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, web development, communications, or related field or related work experience
- Proficient in Salesforce, Ticketure, Wordpress, Constant Contact and Adobe Creative Suite or related programs
- AP Style preferred
- Fluency in Spanish language preferred
- Three to five years' experience in marketing communications, online marketing or similar field preferred
- Technical and editorial writing and research skills
- Creative and analytical marketing skills
- Functional knowledge of, or experience with, HTML/CSS or related program
- Knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO)
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Organizational, multitasking and time management skills
- Ability to work off-hours with occasional evenings, weekends, and/or holidays
Salary range: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00
Equipment Used Typical office equipment and multiple graphics, website building/publishing suites.
Internal Communication Regular communication with Garden employees.
External Communication Occasional communication with vendors, partners, and media contacts.
Working Conditions No physical effort beyond what's typically required in a normal office environment. Potential for tight deadlines or time periods of high workload may require additional hours. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
Must be able to walk, sit, stand, stoop, kneel, bend, see, hear, speak, read, and type. Manual dexterity and the ability to lift up to 10 pounds required.
