About the Role
The Company is in need of a Chief Information Officer (CIO) with a strong background in IT leadership, particularly within a legal services environment. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' experience in IT leadership roles, with a proven track record of implementing AI technologies to enhance IT processes and operational efficiency. Experience in managing or integrating AI with legal applications is highly preferred. The CIO will be responsible for leading a team that includes Application Support, Helpdesk, Networking, Systems Administration, Cybersecurity, Data, and IT Operations, and must have the ability to assess and recommend team structure, budget, headcount, and skillsets for future growth. Applicants for the CIO position at the company should have a strong cybersecurity background, including experience in protecting mid-sized organizations with sensitive data. The role requires a collaborative, proactive, and self-starting leadership style, with a willingness and ability to mentor and train junior Helpdesk staff. Familiarity with a range of legal and non-legal applications is essential, and preferred experience includes Microsoft Azure, O365, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, RingCentral, Tikit, and Meraki. The CIO will play a key role in shaping the future of the IT department and must be prepared to start with three direct reports, with plans to expand the team shortly after hire.
