Job Description

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of Easterns Executive Leadership Team, responsible for shaping the financial strategy and guiding the companys next phase of growth. This leader will serve as both a strategic partner and a hands-on financial steward, ensuring operational excellence, fiscal health, and alignment with The Eastern Way taking care of people, driving improvement, and operating with integrity.

The CFO will help lead Eastern into the future by building scalable systems, developing strong financial teams, and providing insight-driven guidance that supports both the business and the people who power it. A key priority for this role is to support the companys long-term strategic goal of approximately doubling in size over the next decade through disciplined expansion, innovation, and stewardship.

Key Responsibilities of the CFO - Strategic & Financial Leadership

• Partner with the President and Executive Team to define and execute Easterns long-term strategic goal
• Provide forward-looking financial planning, modeling, and analytics to support expansion, acquisitions, and investment opportunities.
• Align financial strategy with our people-first mission and long-term business sustainability.
• Develop and maintain KPIs and dashboards that create transparency, accountability, and actionable insights.
• Oversee accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and financial reporting functions.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and technology to increase accuracy, efficiency, and speed.
• Drive financial strategy and infrastructure to support scalable growth and geographic expansion.
• Evaluate and structure capital investments, acquisitions, and partnerships to fuel sustainable growth.
• Oversee long-term capital planning and resource allocation to align with growth and stewardship objectives.
• Serve as executive liaison to the Board, ensuring transparency and accuracy in all reporting.
• Partner with Operations, Sales, and Purchasing to optimize pricing, margins, and profitability.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing Finance and Accounting team grounded in teamwork and trust.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.

10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience.

Experience in distribution, manufacturing, or closely held business a plus.

Deep understanding of financial systems, forecasting, M&A, and capital strategy.

Demonstrated experience overseeing compliance, risk management, and governance in a growing organization.
